Warmbloods by San Diego Sporthorses

Our mare band consists of international quality imported hanoverian mares with the bloodlines of Hohenstein, Caprimond, Matcho XX, Bolero, Weltmeyer, Ladykiller, Grande, Trapper and Einblich. Many of our mares have earned their State's Premium or Elite Mare titles. Their foals continue to be inspection site champions as well as in-hand breed show winners.

A lovely, elastic mover with incredible gaits with extreme suspension. Trained to Intermediare II, this powerhouse is the ultimate schoolmaster with international quality gaits.

She is one of our top producers: 2004 Filly by Batido was top foal at American Hanoverian Society Inspection; 2005 Filly by Madison was top foal at American Hanoverian Society Inspection. Both fillies were Grand Champion of show over two days at USDF Breeders Classic in Ocala, FL in 2005. EM Ladylike’s 2006 filly “Cadence” had several first place ribbons and young horse division champion at recent inhand shows in Florida. This filly ended the year as the NUMBER ONE YearlingFilly for the German Oldenburg Verband! We are quite proud of this filly, who is now owned by Dr. Lori Minteer, DVM, of Jupiter, FL.

"Barbi" is a registered hanoverian mare by the late imported hanoverian stallion ES Batido and out of our foundation hanoverian mare Tequila Sunset. Barbi is everything that we had hoped for and she will continue in her dam's footsteps as a broodmare for San Diego Sporthorses.

Her first foal by Wonderful, "Weltido" was sold inutero and is spectacular!. Her May, 2007 foal by Rubino Bellissimo is available for sale. Barbi is in foal to the outstanding Hanoverian stallion "Royal Prince" for a May, 2009 foal. We anxiously await this proven "R-line" cross.

Approved with the American Hanoverian Society, receiving the top score of all mares presented for gaits "8". Overall score 7.16, highest overall score of all mares presented including Hanoverian mares. Drop dead gorgeous filly that was named TOP FOAL AND BEST MOVER OF THE DAY at the American Hanoverian Society inspection in August, 2007. She has her mother’s beautiful head and well developed long neck, with suspension in her trot that is seldom scene at such a young age. She truly is that once in a lifetime filly, and this is Ladylike’s best foal to date. This filly is certain to follow in her siblings’ footsteps and become a top winner in the showring This filly is for the serious breeder and/or show home only.

This filly is simply stunning in her appears and movement. She has that look at me cocky attitude that is required in a top level show horse. She is truly a 10 mover in all three gaits. Her bloodlines scream Grand Prix Dressage horse, combining the bloodlines of EM Batido as well as Rubino Bellissimo (Rubinstein I).
This filly is not one to miss for the serious dressage rider. She is very calm, brave and level headed.

Heidi is currently trained to 3rd level dressage and easily has the potential for FEI. "Heidi" delivered a beautiful bay Hanoverian filly by Bergamon, April, 2007. This filly has placed nicely in her weanling in-hand classes.

Our foundation hanoverian broodmare, Tequila has consistently produced only top dressage prospects through the years from a variety of stallions. She has produced no less than 10 foals including one Elite Mare.

Her top filly foal is Barcelona SP, whom we have selected to continue her dams' tradition of producing top sporthorses. Tequila is a lovely, uphill mover with lots of knee and hock action which she passes on to her offspring. Tequila will always be "grandma" to all of the foals at San Diego Sporthorses.

Gigi is one of the rare thoroughbreds that can easily compete against the movement and conformation of finer warmblood mares. She truly is a 9 mover in all three gaits, which she passes on to her offspring regardless of who she is bred to. Gigi is the only thoroughbred mare which we have continued to keep in our broodmare band, because of her incredible production record (all premium foals including site champions). She is truly a joy to have on our farm.
